Weed and Feed- Glyndon Station Park – June 8th 10 am

Spring is in full bloom, which means it’s time to prepare our park, Glyndon Station Park, for the summer season. Please join the GCA Park Committee and your neighbors for a “weed and feed” next Saturday, June 8th, 10 a.m. at the park on Railroad Avenue.
 Leo Ottey, will prepare a special breakfast and other breakfast goodies,  Some will be pleased to hear that there may also be scrapple.
Lee Ottey grills breakfast sandwiches.
This will be a heavy park cleanup. If you have pruners, loppers, wheel barrow, shovel and and other garden tools, please bring them. the committee will provide lawn and leaf bags.
See you in the park next Saturday,

Dinner in the Park – Sunday June 9th.

GCA and HGI are sponsoring Dinner in the Park.  Please join us on Sunday June 9th from 4 – 8 pm in Glyndon Station Park to meet your neighbors.  Enjoy a spring evening dinner and get to know whats going on in Glyndon  If you know of a new family in Glyndon please email us at GCA_pres@yahoo.com with their name and address.  You bring a picnic lunch and we will provide refreshments and desert.  Bring checkers or your  chess set and challenge some of your neighbors.   We will send them a personal invitation to join us for this great event.  Rain Date – TBD

Edgar Allan Poe Comes Alive!

Come meet Edgar Allan Poe in a one-man show at the Historic Emory Grove Hotel on Wednesday, May 15, 7:30 – 9 p.m. Sponsored by Historic Glyndon, Inc., entertainer Scott Craig Jones of Shanandoah, Va., becomes Poe and humorously reminices about his life and death while performing various Poe masterworks.

The program is free to HGI members and their children. Donations for non-members are $10 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under. Includes light refreshments.

Trash Walk – Saturday May 11, 2013

Sponsored by the Glyndon’s United Methodist Church Men’s Group on Saturday May 11 at 9:30am – noon.  Start at Dew Hall with coffee and refreshments to choose your locations and meet your neighbors.  We will then proceed to “Clean up Glyndon” in the beautiful spring air.  Children welcome with parents.  See you there.

Glyndon Easter Egg Hunt *** Saturday March 23, 2013

Description: Join the Glyndon Community Association for the annual Easter Egg Hunt for friends and families of Glyndon. Two categories: five and under as well as six and up. Prize eggs included. Refreshments available. Donations of juice boxes and cookies appreciated. To help hide eggs, join us at 9 a.m.

Light the Glyndon Christmas Tree

Join the Glyndon Community Association for the annual Christmas tree lighting at the Glyndon Volunteer Fire Department.

When: Sunday, December 4, 2011, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Meet at the Glyndon fire hall (see the fire department’s Christmas train garden!

What:

  • Decorate two trees, sing carols, turn on lights
  • Santa arrives to visit with children
  • Refreshments, songs & games

Community to Discuss Water Tower, Water Pipes

The general membership of the Glyndon Community Association will discuss a proposed water tower as well as the on-going water pipe replacement project at its quarterly meeting at 7 p.m. on November 9, 2011. The group will meet at the Woman’s Club of Glyndon.
